You can visit the Amazon at any time of the year. There is a dry season from December to February, this is a time when we don’t have much Rain, and because of this, the Cuyabeno River (Our main River for navigation) decreases from around 5 meters deep to 1 meter deep. During the dry and rainy season there are many animals to see! Ask our experts about the best time to visit for your interests, preferred activities and the types of animals you would most like to spot! For avid birdwatchers, make sure to ask about our bird-watching tours, designed for the best chance to see as many species as possible!
The food at our lodge is excellent. We provide nutritious meals (gourmet menus) daily during the trip and catering for vegetarians and other dietary needs if required. Our chefs fuse local and international gastronomy, to provide delicious, locally sourced meals, which are sure to please! Purified drinking water is always on hand. Soft drinks such as coffee, hot chocolate or tea are available all day. During the activities, snacks are provided too. Fresh juices from tropical fruits and local ingredients are served with most meals. Along with the great food and drinks on offer, the main open-air dining area is gorgeous. Enjoy your meals and refreshing drinks or alcoholic beverages while relaxing in the hammocks surrounded by the sounds and beauty of the Amazon!
There is no restriction for the age, but we recommend that all children be 4 years old and up. For the expeditions with children, we suggest private tours because it will be more comfortable and enjoyable to go at your own pace. An experience with us will be great for your family because our guides are responsible, proud locals of the region and they are ready to answer any questions that come up during the activities. Don’t forget that the jungle trails can be strenuous at times. The difficultly level of each excursion depends on terrain and weather conditions and the fitness of the group. Children under 12 must be accompanied by their parents or an adult.
People travelling alone can easily join on of our groups and stay in shared accommodation, (a great chance to meet others) but if you want a single accommodation you will need to pay an extra 75%. Don’t hesitate to ask us about different accommodation arrangements.

We recommend bringing repellents high in DEET for the night and day walks, at the laguna grande in the afternoon, but when you are on the bus/pick up, canoe, and lodge products containing DEET are not necessary. However, if you have strong reactions to bites, we recommend that you wear repellent, especially for little ones
Precaution against yellow fever is recommended especially for the adventures and long tours. Before departure, visit your doctor to get the most up to date health information. Don’t sleep with the mosquito net open or in an accommodation that allows mosquitoes to get in, close your mosquito nets. If you wear glasses or contacts, bring an extra pair.
